Tungsten hexafluoride (WF6), a key deposition gas for memory and advanced logic chips, has seen sharp price gains as some overseas capacity exited and downstream memory-chip expansion widened the supply gap. An analyst expects 5N-grade WF6 to average roughly 1,760 yuan/kg in June, up about 236% YoY, and cites sustained memory demand as the core support. A Shanghai specialty-gas producer reported a surge in helium demand; factories are running two shifts yet remain undersupplied, and buyers report prices moving daily with risk of immediate unavailability.

Shanghai Gold Exchange said margins for Au(T+D), mAu(T+D), Au(T+N1), Au(T+N2), NYAuTN06 and NYAuTN12 will rise to 16% from 15% effective at settlement close on June 17, 2026 (Wednesday). The exchange said the daily price-limit for those contracts will widen to 15% from 14% from the next trading day. Margins for Ag(T+D) will rise to 22% from 21% effective at settlement close on June 17; its daily price-limit will widen to 21% from 20% from the next trading day.
