At the morning close, China’s main futures contracts were mixed: fuel oil and methanol fell about 9%; SC crude, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and paraxylene dropped over 7%; asphalt, PTA and bottle-grade PET declined more than 6%. On the upside, SHFE silver gained about 8%; SHFE gold and tin rose over 4%; glass and platinum climbed around 3%; palladium and SHFE zinc were up more than 2%; soda ash rose nearly 2%.

Beijing, June 15 — China foreign minister Wang Yi met Nepal foreign minister Hisil. China praised Nepal’s adherence to the One China principle and its support on Taiwan and Tibet, and said it will continue to prioritise ties with Nepal in its neighbourhood diplomacy. Beijing pledged ongoing support for Nepal’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, backing the new government’s ability to govern with public support and its pursuit of a development path suited to national conditions.
