Russian sources said on June 15 that Enerhodar, the city hosting the
Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, has been without electricity since June 13. Plant
spokeswoman Evgenia Yakhina said the city has "completely lost power." Russia
reported attacks on key regional energy infrastructure on June 13-14 damaged
systems and caused partial power restrictions. The Zaporizhzhia plant, one of
Europe’s largest, has been under Russian control since Feb 2022 and has been
repeatedly shelled or struck by drones, raising international safety concerns.
