Security chiefs at several major U.S. tech firms, including NVIDIA and Adobe, have written to the Trump administration asking it to lift restrictions on ANTHROPIC’s most powerful models, saying the bans impede efforts to prevent the spread of cyberattacks, Refinitiv reports. Last Friday Washington ordered ANTHROPIC to suspend access to Fable 5 and MYTHOS 5 for all foreign nationals on national-security grounds. In a joint letter signed by more than 50 security leaders, they warned the measures would weaken the industry’s ability to find and patch software vulnerabilities while other AI tools make it easier for hackers to exploit them. The letter said the action “deprives defenders of state‑of‑the‑art models, creates market uncertainty, and, absent real-risk evidence, jeopardizes U.S. leadership in AI.”
