BANK OF JAPAN Deputy Governor UCHIDA said neutral rate estimates are too dispersed to provide usable guidance for monetary policy.

On June 12, SAMR director Luo Wen met visiting Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Nomtoibayar to discuss cooperation on metrology, standardization and conformity assessment. Both sides agreed to advance legal metrology cooperation, coordinate standards for key traded goods, phase in mutual recognition of conformity assessment, and run proficiency testing and personnel training to facilitate bilateral trade. They signed a metrology cooperation action plan; relevant SAMR department officials attended.
