June 16 — China's Foreign Ministry said it will continue to firmly advance high-level opening-up and provide more support and convenience for foreign companies operating in China. The ministry cited China's comprehensive industrial base, broad application scenarios, a high-quality talent pool and an improving policy environment, and said growing numbers of foreign firms are upgrading China-based manufacturing into innovation hubs, strengthening their international competitiveness.

As of June 15, margin financing at the Shanghai Stock Exchange was CNY 1.4618 tln, up CNY 12.87 bln from the prior session; at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange it was CNY 1.4057 tln, up CNY 11.19 bln. Combined margin balances across the two exchanges totaled CNY 2.8675 tln, an increase of CNY 24.06 bln.
