CITIC Securities says wafer price increases took effect in Q2 2026 and are expected to continue in H2 both domestically and internationally. The firm flags clear shortages in heavily-doped wafers and in overseas lightly-doped wafers; domestic lightly-doped producers could benefit from overflow of overseas orders. CITIC expects the industry may move into a global supply deficit over the next two years. Investment guidance: favor wafer makers with a higher mix of heavily-doped products and monitor companies leading 12-inch lightly-doped wafer shipments.
