Russia's Foreign Ministry said on its website on the evening of the 16th that,
in response to Canadian sanctions against Russia, it has banned 103 Canadian
nationals from entering the country. The ministry accused some Canadian
politicians of harming Russian rights and interests and damaging bilateral ties,
and said it respects the Canadian people but opposes the Canadian government's
current hostile stance. The travel ban list includes several Canadian MPs and
former Canadian ambassadors to Russia and Ukraine.
