The Russian Defence Ministry said on the 17th its forces achieved three significant gains in Donetsk region: in Konstantinovka they seized 96 buildings; in Lyman they captured six defensive positions and 61 buildings and destroyed Ukraine's last local supply artery, the Mayaky crossing on the Siverskyi Donets; they also took control of one populated settlement. Ukraine's General Staff said on the 17th there were 237 engagements over the previous day and that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks in multiple directions. Ukraine said its air force, missile troops and artillery struck 11 Russian personnel assembly areas, three artillery pieces and one command post, and reported shooting down 2,052 Russian drones.

China's financial regulator said it will continue supporting financial leasing companies in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone Lingang New Area to run a project‑company business innovation pilot, part of measures to implement the Action Plan for building Shanghai into an international financial center. Under the pilot, leasing firms may set up project companies to provide financing leases for data‑center equipment, resource‑extraction equipment, industrial robots, simulators and aviation materials.
