Shanghai Customs said on June 18 that Shanghai's high-end manufacturing cluster has supported export growth, with robot shipments particularly strong. Jan–May robot exports via Shanghai ports totaled 8.36 bln yuan to 113 countries, accounting for over 40% of China’s robot exports and ranking first nationally. Cleaning robots led at 6.11 bln yuan (71.6% of Shanghai’s robot export value). Industrial robot exports reached 2.13 bln yuan, up 39.5% YoY, with shipments to Germany and Japan up 84% and 36.5% respectively.
