On June 18 China's vice president Han Zheng met Canada's industry minister Joly
and a delegation of business leaders, saying Beijing is willing to work with
Ottawa to implement leaders' consensus, consolidate traditional cooperation and
deepen collaboration in new-energy vehicles and artificial intelligence to
advance the China-Canada strategic partnership on health, stability and
sustainability. Han also met Sorensen, chair of the NOVO NORDISK Foundation and
NOVO NORDISK board, saying China will continue to widen high-level opening,
build a market-based, rule-of-law, international business environment and
support foreign firms, including NOVO NORDISK, to expand operations in China.
