Emma Mogford of Premier Miton Monthly Income Fund said after the Bank of England
held rates at 3.75% on Thursday that the Bank may not need to raise rates again
this year. She said price rises later in the year from the Iran war could be
offset by weaker demand, and wage growth is likely to remain modest given a
relatively soft labour market. The rate decision passed 7-2, with two members
preferring a 25bp hike.
