At a regular Foreign Ministry briefing on June 18, spokesperson Lin Jian said China has sought ceasefires and promoted peace since the outbreak of hostilities. He said Xi Jinping’s four-point proposal for maintaining and promoting Middle East peace and stability embodies China’s push for dialogue and conflict resolution. China will continue to uphold that proposal and persist in urging ceasefires and facilitating talks to restore peace, stability and development in the Middle East.
