JEFFERIES analysts said in a research note the Trump administration’s restrictions on foreign access to ANTHROPIC’s leading AI models may be difficult to sustain. They warned the measures would be hard to enforce and could weaken US AI systems. With many US AI researchers and engineers foreign-born, excluding them from frontier models could slow R&D and push talent and use cases overseas, an outcome the US government would not want.
