June 19 — Nissin Foods said it will voluntarily recall about 287,000 units of its cup fried-noodle product Nissin Sauce Yakisoba Cup after possible contamination with synthetic resin fragments. The company said the contamination likely came from a malfunction in equipment that adds powdered sauce. Affected packs were produced at the group’s East Japan Myojo Saitama plant and carry a best‑before date of Sept. 10, 2026.
