June 18 — MOFCOM Vice Minister and deputy chief trade negotiator Ling Ji met
with the CEO of SABIC to discuss the company’s operations in China and expanded
investment cooperation. Ling said China-Saudi trade ties have grown steadily,
with ARAMCO and SABIC as key participants. He said China will accelerate
industrial, energy and transport restructuring and push a green, low-carbon
transition during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and urged SABIC to deepen its
presence in the Chinese market.
