The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) is developing a single-sided close function
for its stock option combination strategy business but has not activated it. SSE
and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange jointly launched stock option combination
strategies in 2019 and explicitly specified that the single-sided close feature
would not be implemented at that time. SSE has published technical interfaces
for market participants to use in development, but the function remains inactive
operationally.
