Tianfeng International analyst Ming‑Chi Kuo says Google is developing an
upgraded TPU v9 (codename Triggerfish) based on TPU v9/Humufish and has awarded
an exclusive, higher‑priced order to MediaTek. Kuo retains a 4–5 mln unit
lifecycle shipment estimate for Humufish and says Google will add 1–2 mln
Triggerfish units, with production due end‑2027 and volume ramping in 2028.
Triggerfish is priced about 30% above Humufish and is expected to provide
incremental revenue for MediaTek in 2028.
