Iran’s Martyrs’ Leader Memorial Committee announced on June 22 that farewell,
funeral and burial ceremonies for the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will be
held from July 4 in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad. Mehr News Agency quoted committee
spokesman Iman Attarzadeh saying more than 100 days have passed since Khamenei
was killed in an attack; preparations were completed earlier but delayed by war
developments, enemy strikes and public-safety concerns. Attarzadeh said the
Tehran procession route has been finalised and that detailed arrangements will
be released in coming days, and that national administrative and service
agencies participated in planning.
