CATL on June 22 unveiled what it describes as the world’s first validated station-level sodium-ion energy storage solution, launching the Tianheng sodium-ion system. A single system exceeds 30MWh and uses a fully modular design separating energy and power modules. CATL plans first China deliveries in September (this year), targets 1GWh of sodium-ion shipments in 2026, and expects global deliveries to start in June next year.

Jingdezhen meteorological observatory issued a red rainstorm warning at 08:44 on June 23. It forecasts rainfall exceeding 100 mm within the next three hours in parts of the city and south‑central Fuliang County, accompanied by short‑duration intense downpours, lightning and other strong convective activity.
