Aiwei Electronics' Lingang automotive-grade test center began operations today.
The facility, built with over RMB 940 million of investment on more than 110,000
sq m, is planned to test 30–50 billion chips annually, making it the largest
domestic automotive-grade chip testing center to date. Aiwei says at full
capacity the site can handle testing orders from the majority of domestic
new-energy vehicle (NEV) OEMs, smart-cockpit suppliers and AI chipmakers.
One-stop local validation will materially shorten certification cycles and cut
per-chip testing costs, reducing chipmakers' R&D verification spending and
accelerating iteration and in-vehicle deployment of domestically produced
automotive chips.
