On the 23rd (local time) in Muscat, Oman's Sultan Haitham met visiting Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and his delegation to discuss the latest progress in ongoing Iran‑US negotiations. Haitham received Iran's briefing on the talks, expressed support and said he hoped the negotiations would succeed. He said outstanding issues should be resolved peacefully, explicitly citing restoration of safe shipping and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian nuclear issue and other related matters.
