CHINA'S LI met South Korea's Prime Minister Kim Min‑seok in Dalian on the
sidelines of the Summer Davos Forum. Both sides pledged to accelerate Phase II
talks on a bilateral free trade agreement to broaden and upgrade bilateral
trade. China called for deeper industry and value‑chain integration, aiming to
consolidate traditional industrial cooperation and expand ties in
semiconductors, artificial intelligence, new energy and biopharma. The two
governments said they would deepen supply‑chain cooperation, strengthen
high‑level and multilevel dialogue, promote investment and speed
people‑to‑people exchanges in tourism, education and youth; Seoul welcomed
Chinese firms investing in Korea.
