China’s Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Politburo and director of the Office of the
Central Foreign Affairs Commission, attended the 16th BRICS Security Affairs
Senior Representatives Meeting in India. He said the more-than-100-day
US–Israel–Iran confrontation, now shifting from conflict toward dialogue, has
severely disrupted regional and international stability and yields four lessons:
uphold international rules, respect state sovereignty, embrace a new security
concept, and understand evolving forms of warfare. With traditional and
non‑traditional threats intertwining, Wang said BRICS strengthening
security-dialogue and cooperation is timely.
