The offices of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry
of Finance and the National Financial Regulatory Administration jointly issued a
notice implementing the 2026 first-unit (set) major technical equipment
insurance compensation policy. Coverage extends to all fields in the Guiding
Catalogue for Promotion and Application of First Unit (Set) Major Technical
Equipment (2024 edition). In principle, complete machines will be supported on a
unit (set) basis; core systems, key components, major equipment key supporting
items and basic parts will be supported in principle on a batch basis.
Lower-value single-unit machines—such as high-end industrial machine tools,
specialized electronic equipment, new agricultural machinery and precision
instruments—may be supported by batch; higher-value single items—such as aero
engines, ship engines and other high-value core systems or key components—may be
supported on a unit (set) basis.
