Russia and Indonesia have signed a contract to import Russian crude, finalised
through Indonesia’s state oil and gas agency Lemigas and based on a top-level
agreement between President Putin and President Subianto. The deal is part of a
wider procurement plan totalling 150 mln barrels of Russian oil, to be delivered
in phases through end-2026. Indonesia’s energy ministry said last week it will
continue importing Russian crude despite easing Middle East tensions and the
reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
