People familiar with the matter say the White House plans to nominate FCC
general counsel Adam Candeub to head the DOJ antitrust division. DOJ staff were
notified this week and the nomination is expected to be announced shortly.
Candeub met with Trump earlier this week. He served as a senior official in
Trump’s first administration and co-authored sections of the Heritage
Foundation’s Project 2025 report, which has informed several proposals in
Trump’s second-term policy blueprint.
