China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance (AIIA) has launched preparatory work to establish a Token Service working group to support high-quality development of token services. The group is led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and comprises 22 organisations, including Huawei Cloud, Baidu Intelligent Cloud, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, aiming to coordinate upstream and downstream industry participants to build a high-quality token service ecosystem.

Hong Kong stocks closed lower: Hang Seng Index fell 1.76%, Hang Seng TECH Index dropped 3.41%. Tech sector broadly weak—Zhipu (02513.HK) down about 13%, Sunny Optical (02382.HK) down about 9%, SMIC (00981.HK) down nearly 7%.
