Apple has raised prices on some notebooks and tablets across multiple global
markets by about 16–25%. Domestic retail prices for a number of popular PC
models have also jumped: a best‑selling gaming laptop that retailed around 7,000
yuan in July–August last year now sells above 10,000 yuan in Shenzhen. Price
increases extend beyond gaming rigs to ordinary business notebooks; models that
sold below 4,000 yuan last year are largely absent this year, while
mid‑to‑high‑end notebooks have risen roughly 500–1,500 yuan. Dealers say
component cost inflation — memory, SSDs, CPUs and GPUs — has pushed prices since
Q4 last year amid a surge in global AI compute demand, and many resellers have
been forced to adjust retail prices frequently after vendor repricing notices.
