June 27 — WPS said it completed an investigation into concentrated user
complaints about C: drive space usage and has started optimizations. A new
version due in July will add an installer option to choose the installation path
and will add a "Storage Management" module in settings that aggregates occupancy
and releasable space for caches, file backups and cloud-document cache. WPS said
caches and backups default to C: and opaque usage had frustrated some
high-frequency users; the update’s stated aim is "install with choice, use with
control," letting users see local disk usage and free files themselves.
