CNBC, citing a person familiar with the matter, reports the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is carrying out an ongoing, broad investigation of prediction-market platform Polymarket. Earlier reports said Polymarket ran a misleading marketing campaign that made content creators appear profitable on the platform despite those creators not having invested funds.
