Fox News reported US forces carried out a new round of strikes against Iran that were larger in scale than last night’s operation. US and Bahraini forces shot down nine Iranian drones headed toward US troops in Bahrain.

President Trump said on the 27th US forces struck Iranian missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar stations after Iran again violated a ceasefire, warning that “the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist” if escalation continues. CENTCOM said the same day it carried out a new round of strikes inside Iran as a direct response to Iran’s continued targeting of merchant shipping, saying US aircraft hit military surveillance facilities, communications nodes, air-defence positions, drone storage sites and minelaying equipment.
