Iran’s foreign ministry on June 28 strongly condemned US military strikes late on June 27 against multiple sites along Iran’s southern coast, saying the attacks violated the UN Charter and the first article of a prior US‑Iran memorandum of understanding, which it said committed both sides to end hostilities on all fronts. The ministry urged the UN Security Council and UN Secretary‑General to uphold international peace and security and said Iran will, under the UN Charter, firmly defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against US military aggression.

Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic told a large rally in central Belgrade on June 27 he will remain in office for several weeks and then resign. He said he will work to secure voter support for the ruling Progressive Party and for party chairman Vucevic in the forthcoming election. Vucic has previously said he plans to step down and that a presidential vote will be held within three to four months.
