On June 29 at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, President Xi met Belarusian
President Lukashenko. Xi called for sustained strategic communication to advance
bilateral ties to a higher level, pledged Chinese support for Belarus'
sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and said China would
continue to provide assistance within its means and support Belarus' pursuit of
a development path suited to its national conditions. He urged mobilizing
resources to push Belt and Road cooperation and deepen pragmatic cooperation,
and said China and Belarus would coordinate in multilateral forums including the
UN and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, pursue four global initiatives and
act as a stabilizing force amid global turbulence.
