Argentina on the 28th appointed Interior Minister Diego Santilli as chief of cabinet, replacing Manuel Adorni who resigned amid a corruption scandal. Casa Rosada spokesman Adrian Ravier said Santilli will be sworn in at the Casa Rosada on the 30th. The chief of cabinet assists the president in day-to-day government management and coordinates ministries, and is regarded as the government's second‑highest official.
