Preliminary data from the German Weather Service on the 28th showed a national
high of 41.7°C, the third consecutive day Germany has reset its all-time
temperature record. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute said Doksany station
north of Prague recorded 41.1°C on the 28th; the site had measured 40.6°C the
previous day, which had already surpassed the 2012 record of 40.4°C.
