At the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference Space Compute Forum on June 29, Beijing unveiled the Beijing Space Compute Innovation Center, positioned as China’s first center to integrate the space-compute industry chain and coordinate upstream-downstream development. Operating under a company-plus-alliance model, the center will pursue full-stack collaboration across chips, hardware, platforms, AI, networks and applications to establish a space-compute production ecosystem. It will focus on six areas: space-native compute chip design and manufacture; high-performance, ultra-bandwidth space compute payloads; satellite platforms and ground verification infrastructure; large-model deployment with software-hardware co‑optimization; key technologies for space‑ground integrated cloud platforms; and satellite application technology innovation and scenario validation.
