Statistics Canada said Tuesday real GDP rose 0.5% month-on-month in April, the largest single-month increase in nine months and above the 0.4% analysts had expected after a 0.1% contraction in March. China and the EU held the first China‑EU Trade and Investment Consultations in Brussels on June 29, 2026.
