Secretary-General of Iran’s Revolutionary Martyrs’ Memorial Committee Pourjamshidian said on June 30 Iran will hold a series of memorial and farewell events for the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad and in parts of Iraq in the near term. He said coordination bodies have been established nationwide to support public participation and that Tehran has coordinated with Iraqi authorities to stage related ceremonies.

June 29, 2026 — MOFCOM minister RAIMONDO and EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Šefčovič co‑chaired the inaugural meeting and issued a joint statement confirming the formal launch of the China‑EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism. The mechanism comprises four working streams—trade-investment balance, export controls, intellectual property and WTO matters—and will operate a joint monitoring mechanism. The parties exchanged market-access lists and agreed to pursue phased resolution of mutual concerns. Citing positive progress in export-controls talks, they agreed to deepen dialogue and adopt further facilitation measures to safeguard global supply chains. They also committed to stepped-up IP and WTO cooperation and tasked joint teams to deliver practical results ahead of the next meeting.
