July 1 — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular briefing that China has repeatedly set out its position on remarks from Paraguay and urged the Paraguayan government and leaders to align with the tide of history and public will, promptly stand on the right side of history, make decisions in their country’s fundamental and long-term interests and avoid further isolation.

At a July 1 regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said China consistently advocates early removal of unilateral sanctions on Iran. Asked about US steps to lift sanctions and how Chinese firms should adapt as 60‑day oil waivers progress, Guo urged the United States and Iran to implement the signed memorandum of understanding and continue negotiations toward a comprehensive political settlement.
