Several distributors confirmed Yageo has notified clients of immediate price increases across its full capacitor range — including tantalum, MLCC, aluminum electrolytic, solid aluminum, film capacitors and supercapacitors — covering roughly 50% of Yageo’s revenue and, for the first time, extending price adjustments to direct customers (EMS/OEM), signalling concurrent spot and contract price moves. Distributor sources said factory list prices rose about 50%, with spot-market increases larger; one source reported high-end capacitor prices have surged up to tenfold within a month. Distributors also reported frequent delivery delays since May across MLCC brands, not limited to Yageo.
