On July 1 the Chinese Foreign Ministry said China will unswervingly advance high‑level opening‑up, maintain a stable policy environment and rely on technological innovation to boost competitiveness. The ministry highlighted China’s rise to 12th in the IMD 2026 global competitiveness ranking (Hong Kong 2nd) and said China will expand market access and share technological innovation outcomes with other countries.
