On July 3, China’s domestically built, currently world‑largest methanol
dual‑fuel containership Dongfang Zhihui began commercial maiden voyage from
Qingdao. The vessel completed loading of over 3,000 TEU at the port and received
about 1,500 tonnes of methanol via ship‑to‑ship bunkering, then sailed for major
Northern European ports to enter Qingdao–Europe core container trunkline
service.
