Ukraine's General Staff said on the 4th that reports Russian forces have taken control of Konstantynivka in Donetsk region are false. A General Staff spokesman said Russian forces are still attempting to seize the town; small Russian units have penetrated Ukrainian positions and Ukrainian troops are conducting clearing operations. The situation is severe but the town remains under Ukrainian control.
