The International Atomic Energy Agency said on the 3rd that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant lost external power for the 21st time during the military conflict. An IAEA team on site heard military activity that caused electrical protection devices between the plant and transmission lines to trip, including a line repaired during the June ceasefire. Emergency diesel generators started and supplied power for reactor cooling and other critical safety functions. Power has been restored, but one transmission line linking the plant to the grid remains out of service.
