Lebanon's National News Agency said Israeli forces are shelling the town of Dair Sirian in southern Nabatieh with artillery.

OPEC+ is due to hold its monthly meeting later today. A source said the group has in principle agreed to raise crude oil production quotas by 188,000 bpd from August; two other sources said that increase is the likeliest outcome.

China's foreign minister Wang Yi met Finland's foreign minister Valtonen in Helsinki on the 5th. Wang said Finland was among the first Western states to establish diplomatic ties with China and the first to sign an intergovernmental trade agreement. He highlighted 76 years of close China–Finland ties and the 2017 establishment of a future-oriented cooperation partnership, and said China is willing to continue mutual respect and equal treatment and remain a trusted partner despite shifting international conditions.
