Japanese storage supplier Kioxia plunged over 10%; chip-equipment stocks Advantest and Tokyo Electron also declined. Shimada described the moves as "a healthy correction of a distorted market", saying investors are selling chip-exposed names and rotating into now-cheaper value stocks.
