South Korea's finance ministry said it will strengthen its foreign-exchange monitoring system to address volatility during overnight trading.

Holger Schmieding said in a note the court shortened Marine Le Pen's ban on holding public office, restoring her eligibility for France's 2027 presidential election, but uncertainty remains over whether she will be the National Rally's candidate. The court upheld her conviction for misappropriating EU funds and ordered her to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for one year. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said on Tuesday it found Anastasiia Berezovska, a Ukrainian national wanted by Monaco and Interpol over a June 29 bombing in Monaco that targeted businessman Vadim Yermolaev and his family, dead in Kyiv with a gunshot wound to the head. The SBU said an officer serving in the Defense Ministry's intelligence branch has confessed, with the assistance of a former law-enforcement officer, to killing Berezovska; the officer said the act was personal and was not reported to superiors. The Monaco blast injured three people, including a child; Interpol had issued a red notice for the 39-year-old suspect.
