At the morning open most-active China futures rose. Shanghai crude (SC) jumped
over 4%; fuel oil and low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU) climbed more than 3%; benzene and
styrene (EB) gained over 2%; polypropylene rose nearly 2%; caustic soda and
container-shipping European-route freight were up more than 1%. On the downside,
asphalt slid over 3%; Shanghai silver, soda ash and red dates fell more than 1%;
live hogs edged down about 1%.
