President Trump said Defense Secretary Hegeses expressed approval for the idea of killing Iranian leaders during Khamenei's funeral.

Trump said U.S. forces sank 28 Iranian vessels overnight and may hit more, and that further attacks remain possible. He warned Washington has not yet used its highest-level strikes but could escalate to destroy critical Iranian infrastructure, including power and water systems, and could seize Kharg Island. He said a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz limited to Iran is a possible option. Trump added Iran used Khamenei’s funeral to launch attacks and that U.S. forces could have killed Iranian leaders then.
